Citizenship at birth through parentage or foundling status
A person is Egyptian at birth when born to an Egyptian father or mother. A person born in Egypt of unknown parents, including a foundling presumed born in Egypt, is also Egyptian. Birth in Egypt alone to identified foreign parents is not general jus soli.
Egyptian citizenship through investment programmes
The Prime Minister's citizenship unit administers direct routes through a non-refundable contribution, property, an investment project or a central-bank deposit. No multi-year residence period is required before the investment programme grant.
Ordinary naturalization after ten consecutive years
Under Article 4 of Law No. 26 of 1975, a foreign adult may seek discretionary Egyptian nationality after ten consecutive years of normal legal residence in Egypt, with Arabic-language, means and character review by the Minister of Interior.

Residence via bank deposit / investment programmes
Egypt offers temporary and permanent residence categories tied to bank deposits or property investment under immigration regulations administered with Interior / GAFI practice.
Exchange normally requires residence in the destination and replaces the original licence. The official authority still decides validity, deadlines, classes, and any extra checks.
