Residence permit for an indefinite period
Open-ended Aruba residence permit after at least ten years (120 months) of temporary residence or declarations, with population-register evidence at application. Adults may work on the indefinite permit. Not automatic — still an application-based grant after the temporary ladder.
Retiree / interest-rate earner residence
Renewable one-year residence permit to live in Aruba without paid work as a retiree or interest-rate earner. Guaranteed-income track: age 55+ with pension, annuity, or recognised-bank deposit interest of at least Afl 50,000 gross per year. Without guaranteed income: age 18+ with Afl 100,000 per year from assets, investments, or qualifying real-estate leases. Permit is always issued for one year and may be extended yearly under the same conditions — the multi-year ladder toward indefinite stay and Dutch naturalisation.
